Miki Ando of Japan has won the gold at world championships in Moscow, her second world title. Olympic champion Yuna Kim had gone into Saturday's free skate with a lead of less than half a point over Ando.
Both put on elegant free skates but neither was technically flawless. Ando stepped out of the first part of a planned double axel-triple toe combination. Kim singled both a double and a triple.
Carolina Kostner of Italy, who had started the day in sixth place, won the bronze.
