As it is known the world often fills with rumors, but some of them need our special attention in view of high probability of their realization.
Some days, just after the termination of the U.S. National Championships, have spread rumors that silver and bronze prize-winners Richard Dornbush and Ross Miner’s spots at the World Championships in Tokyo can be changed. No, not because of injuries or something similar.
It can be because of some rules which you can find in the “Official U.S. Figure Skating Rulebook”. You can download it for free from the USFSA website. Open this book at the “Committee Rules” and find “Selection of Athletes”. I think now you understand what I am talking about.
It appears, in rules of the USFSA there is a note which allows in certain cases to send athletes at the World Championships being guided not by results of their performances at the National Championships but by other criteria, including the history of skater’s performances during the different periods. This rule doesn't concern the National Champion.
This year on the American podium there were those who in the best sense of this word struggled and have won their medals and their right to compete and represent the U.S. at the World Championships. Their names are Ryan Bradley (the champion), Richard Dornbush (silver medalist) and Ross Miner (bronze medalist).
The principle of "fair play" should exist and on the World Championships should go only those who deserved this. In a fair struggle Dornbush and Miner have appeared better in comparing with more eminent contenders and it will be a big injustice if they will be replaced.
At present officially Richard Dornbush and Ross Miner enters into the National Team. I hope very much that this list will not change. Otherwise it will look dishonest.

Не изменится состав команды, не беспокойтесь, это не Россия. Всех призеров пошлют туда. Остается пожелать этой тройке привезти три места на следующий чемпионат мира.
Но Брэдли - это далеко не молодое поколение. И к тому же он коряв, пардон, полагаю, вы как поклонник Алисы и прекрасного в фк это понимаете. Да и стыдно чемпиону Америки катать такую лажу, надеюсь ему хоть проги поправят. Брэдли отсудили дома лояльно из-за 4т.

Просто сомнения возникли у ряда людей, имеющих прямое отношение к американскому ФК, насчёт поездки молодых призёров. Хотя и они думаю понимают, что USFSA не поступится принципами отбора по результатам именно чемпионата. Хотя правила, как ни странно, этого не исключают.
Да, я тоже очень бы хотел, чтобы и Дорнбуш и Майнер проявили себя на Мире. Чего им и пожелаем!
Начался новый цикл, и федерация будет выводить всю молодежь 1989-91 гг, а это и Ричард и Росс и Адам и Армин и Брэндон плюс те, кто на чмю поедет. У молодежи сильная конкуренция, и новый лидер думаю определится по итогам сезона. Эбботт - прекрасный фигурист, но я боюсь, что для него уже прозвучал ласт колл.
Да, молодёжь подпирает практически во всех регионах мира-)
