It’s a very interesting contest organized by Aaron Harris from the Axels, Loops, and Spins blog. This man does a very big work on his blog and I often read his original articles.About this contest. I vote Joannie Rochette and I would like to explain my choice. This Olympic year we saw a lot of great skating performances. I think everyone of them deserve some award. Ladies, Men, Pairs, Ice dancers showed this year their best skating. And the winners have their deserved medals and trophies.
Of course, everyone has personal favorites. I have them too. I’m sure that every skater has the medal of his/her supporters’ hearts.
Despite my personal favorites I asked myself:”What was the most extraordinary in a figure skating this year?” And in my opinion it was the skating of Joannie Rochette. It was much more than perfect skating. It was the brave, the valor, the heroism. This lady deserve some special award from her country, the state award.
I love so much my favorites but I’m sure they would support my choice.
