Once again in the pair skating we have some questions. But not for the athletes, we have them for judging system. No questions about Chinese Qing Pang/Jian Tong leadership. They were the best this evening. Very clear technique combined with the high level components.But I don’t think that Russians Yuko Kavaguti/Alexander Smirnov skated for their so high points. I agree with their nice program. But the over Russian pair Maria Mukhortova/Maxim Trankov performed just perfectly too. I heard the negative stand’s reaction after their result. Maybe Kavaguti/Smirnov were better in components but not for so big difference in points.
Aliona Savchenko/Robin Szolkowy unfortunately made a mistake but their very low points make people ask the new questions. The same situation with over Chinese pair Dan Zhang/Hao Zhang.
At the beginning of the article I said “once again we have some questions”. It’s because the similar situation was at the European Championships this year.
In addition I would like to say many thanks for every skater. They don’t rule the system, but they gave us a lot of very good programs, emotions, beauty. They are the figure skating, no one else.
